Baghdad: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, attended the central ceremony commemorating the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi army.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry of Defense highlighted that the event, held under the patronage and attendance of Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, included the presence of Minister of Defense Thabet Mohammed al-Abbasi and Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah. The ceremony took place at Taji camp.

During the ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief was given an overview of the units and battalions from various branches of the Iraqi army participating in the event. The skies of Baghdad were filled with displays from various aircraft of the Iraqi Air Force and army aviation helicopters.

The ceremony saw the attendance of a significant number of military and security leaders from the Ministry of Defense.
