Mosul: The local government in Nineveh has announced that the French company responsible for implementing air navigation equipment has begun its work at Mosul Airport.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil stated that the French company has initiated the installation of navigation devices and radars within the airport premises. This development follows the completion of significant infrastructural elements by the working teams, including the reception and departure halls, the air navigation tower, and the fire and rescue building. Additionally, efforts are being made to ensure the runway and internal streets are appropriately illuminated.

Governor Al-Dakhil further noted that the project is progressing smoothly and without any obstacles, with the aim of opening Mosul Airport on schedule by early June.
