Daraa: Violent clashes erupted in the city of Al-Sanamayn in the Daraa countryside, prompting the intervention of the Military Operations Department. The department’s official reported that the forces successfully resolved the conflicts among various parties involved.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the clashes in Al-Sanamayn involved elements of the Southern Operations Room affiliated with the new Syrian administration and a group linked to the Military Security Branch of the Assad regime, led by Mohsen Al-Haimed. The Military Operations Administration dispatched reinforcements to the area to manage the security situation and negotiate with the armed group led by Al-Haimed.

Local reports from the Ahrar Houran Gathering news network confirmed the arrival of a convoy from the Military Operations Administration to Al-Sanamayn, comprising approximately two thousand fighters. This force aimed to engage in negotiations with the group led by Al-Haimed. The clashes began following an attack by Al-Haimed’s group on a local faction opposed to the Assad regime, resulting in the death of a civilian.

The Sanamayn Revolutionaries issued a statement demanding accountability for the actions of the attacking group, highlighting the violence inflicted on civilians. They called for the surrender of the group members to ensure justice and retribution. The statement emphasized the severity of the situation, urging the group to either surrender or face decisive action.

The Military Operations Department’s official stated that their forces had taken control of government places and secured public facilities. They also withdrew heavy and medium weapons from local groups. Checkpoints were established in collaboration with the General Security Administration to maintain order, with an option for parties to seek judicial resolution.

The situation remains tense, with residents advised to avoid movement within the city’s neighborhoods due to the ongoing unrest.
