Washington: The US Congress ratified, today, Monday, Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential elections, which were held in 2024. Legislators met under tight security measures and a snowstorm to adhere to the date set by law to certify the elections, and Vice President Kamala Harris, who chaired the session by virtue of her position, read the results of the certification process.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump had won 312 votes in the elections, while Harris received 226 votes. During the meeting, the results of each US state were read individually and sorted, so that Trump will be inaugurated on January 20.
