Basra: A woman was killed when a grenade exploded in her home in the al-Qibla area, as reported by Basra Police Command today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident occurred when a family in the al-Qibla area had hidden a grenade underground to avoid inspections. The grenade detonated after being exposed to direct heat, leading to the woman suffering severe facial injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
