Karbala: A suspect wanted by the judiciary has been apprehended by the First Regiment of the Fifth Brigade of the Rapid Response Division Command under the Ministry of Interior. The arrest took place in the holy Karbala Governorate, where unlicensed light weapons and ammunition were also seized from the suspect. The arrest was carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of the Drugs Act.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was executed in cooperation with the Directorate of Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in the governorate. The Rapid Response Intelligence Department played a crucial role in coordinating the effort, ensuring that the wanted individual and the confiscated items were handed over to the appropriate authorities as per legal requirements.
