Diwaniyah: A force from the Antiquities and Heritage Protection Department in the Diwaniyah Police arrested a person and seized antiquities in his possession.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the individual was apprehended while riding a motorcycle, identified as a Stota, in the Ghamas Antiquities Sector.

A source in the media of the province’s police stated that the antiquities found with the individual included paintings and ancient pottery. The arrest was part of ongoing efforts to protect and preserve the cultural heritage in the region.
