Gaza: The World Health Organization has intensified its relief efforts to help the Gaza Strip by distributing fuel, medical equipment, and medicines to treat tens of thousands of people who have been living in difficult health conditions for 15 months. "Since the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, WHO has intensified its health response," WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on the X platform, explaining that these resources are sufficient to provide 50,000 patients with maternal care, trauma, malnutrition, and non-communicable diseases, and to improve infection prevention in health facilities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ghebreyesus stressed that "conditions in Gaza remain difficult and operations are complex." He added that 70,000 liters of fuel have been provided, which is enough to supply 20 partially functioning health centers and hospitals and ambulances in Gaza City. In addition to ambulances, the fuel is allocated to generators in health centers deprived of electricity, while medical supplies from its stocks in Gaza have been delivered to 6 hospitals and medical facilities and to 21 emergency medical teams in the north and south of the Strip. The area has only received scarce aid since the war began on October 7, 2023, in addition to the destruction of Gaza's health infrastructure.
