Baghdad Operations Command Arrests Multiple Suspects on Karkh and Rusafa Sides

Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested a number of accused according to various legal articles on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a statement that the detachments of the Joint Baghdad Operations Command apprehended a number of individuals accused of various legal violations. Among those detained were five individuals found in possession of unauthorized items, including 12 MasterCard cards, 8 traffic registration plates, and a drone. Additionally, others were caught with unlicensed weapons and ammunition, and some were involved in promoting and using narcotic substances. The operations also led to the seizure of a number of weapons and ammunition, as well as several vehicles and motorcycles that were violating traffic regulations.

The Command explained that these arrests were made possible through the installation of "temporary" surprise checkpoints on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa during the past 24 hours. These measures are part of an ongoing effort to enhance security and enforce legal compliance in the region.
