Baghdad: In a strategic operation, the Baghdad Crime Control Directorate successfully apprehended an armed robbery gang in the Sabaa Al-Bour area, located north of Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate announced that its detachments managed to capture a dangerous gang responsible for a recent armed robbery of a residence in Sabaa Al-Bour. During the heist, the gang made away with $40,000, gold jewelry, and various electrical appliances.

The Directorate detailed that the operation began after receiving critical information about the gang's activities. A specialized team was quickly assembled to gather intelligence and pursue the suspects. Utilizing intensive security and technical measures, the team identified the gang members' residence and kept their activities under surveillance. With the collaboration of the Federal Police, a well-coordinated ambush was executed, leading to the arrest of the suspects in the Sabaa Al-Bour area. The accused were detained under Article 443 of the Penal Code, ensuring they face appropriate legal action.
