Gang of Eight Arrested for Motorcycle Theft and Dismantling in Babylon


Babylon: A gang of eight individuals involved in the theft and dismantling of motorcycles has been apprehended by the North Babylon Crime Control Department, part of the Babylon Governorate Police Command. This operation follows a series of motorcycle thefts recorded in the department’s area of responsibility.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Adel Al-Hussaini, Director of Media for the Babylon Police, reported that upon receiving information about the gang’s activities, a specialized team was established within the Anti-Crime Department. The team engaged in continuous efforts, including information gathering, investigation, searching, and reviewing surveillance footage, which eventually led to identifying the perpetrators as a gang of eight members.



In coordination with the judiciary, arrest warrants were issued for the gang members under Article 446 of the Penal Code. The swift action resulted in the arrest of all accused individuals within a short period.
