Baghdad: Chairman of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee Karim Aliwi Al-Muhammadawi met with National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji. A statement from Al-Muhammadawi’s office stated that the meeting witnessed discussions on ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the National Security Advisory and the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee in a way that enhances the stability of the security situation in Iraq and the region, especially after the security and political changes in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, they stressed the need to unify the word among all regional and friendly countries and to thwart the opportunity for enemies lurking in Iraq, through solidarity and making the right decisions that would enhance national security.
At the end of the meeting, Al-Muhammadawi expressed his thanks and gratitude for what the National Security Advisory is doing in line with the size of the security mission entrusted to it and enhancing Iraq’s security role in all international forums.
