Jenin: The Israeli army announced the death of Sergeant Liam Hezi during a confrontation today, Thursday, in the Jenin operation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident also resulted in one soldier from the Harof reconnaissance unit being seriously injured, while four others sustained moderate to light injuries.

Western media reported that the Israeli army launched an operation storming the town of Beitunia and the village of Kafr Naama, located west of Ramallah in the West Bank, at the same time as the shelling of the Jenin camp. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that a 40-year-old man was shot by the Israeli army near the camp entrance and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Local sources informed “Wafa” that the forces entered Beitunia as the third batch of detainees from the “Ofer” military prison was about to be released under a ceasefire agreement. The sources also noted that the occupation forces entered the village of Kafr Naama without any reported clashes or arrests.
