Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Arrives in Baghdad to Mark Tourism Capital Announcement


Baghdad: Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy and his accompanying delegation arrived in Baghdad today, Saturday, and were received by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities for Arts Affairs, Qasim Taher Al-Sudani.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the visit is aimed at participating in the activities marking the selection of Baghdad as the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2025. These activities are set to commence tomorrow in the Saray heritage area, where the Arab Tourism Organization will deliver the key to Baghdad as the Arab Tourism Capital.



The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, in collaboration with various parties, has prepared a range of programs and events to celebrate this significant occasion. The goal is to position Baghdad as both an Arab and international tourist destination, having met all the criteria established by the Arab Tourism Organization.
