Baghdad: Head of the Arab Tourism Organization, Dr. Bandar bin Fahad Al-Fahid, expressed his happiness to be in Baghdad, the city of history, civilization, antiquity, and people, as it prepares to host the activities for its designation as the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2025, starting tomorrow.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, he extended his thanks and gratitude to the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people for their warm reception and generous hospitality. He also appreciated the efforts of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, and the concerned authorities in ensuring the success of the events marking Baghdad’s achievement.

Al-Fahid emphasized that Baghdad earned this title after meeting all the criteria set by the Arab Tourism Organization. The decision was made during a meeting at the headquarters of the Arab League, following significant efforts by the government of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani. These efforts aimed at creating a renaissance in various fields, positioning Baghdad as a tourist destination for both the Arab region and the international community.
