Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces overthrew a “terrorist” after luring him into a tight ambush in one of the capital’s areas.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command announced that the arrest was the result of a distinguished intelligence effort by the “Anti-Kidnapping” Cell, Intelligence and Security Department/Command. The operation was conducted with high-level coordination with supporting security agencies and services. The suspect, who was wanted under Article 4/1 of terrorism, was lured from the Kurdistan Region into a meticulously planned ambush.

The ambush led to the successful arrest of the individual in one of Baghdad’s areas. Following his capture, the suspect was handed over to the requesting party to complete the necessary legal procedures against him.
