Sulaymaniyah: The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 28 infiltrators of Asian nationalities on the administrative borders of Sulaymaniyah Governorate. The operation was conducted by the First Regiment of the Third Border Brigade as part of efforts to combat illegal border crossing and smuggling activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, the spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, stated that the border forces were successful in apprehending the individuals who attempted to cross the border illegally. This action falls within the scope of the Border Forces Command’s responsibilities to address infiltration and smuggling issues.

Miri confirmed that a formal arrest report has been filed and necessary legal actions are being pursued against the detained individuals.
