Ukrainian President to Visit Turkey for Strategic Discussions

Ankara: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will pay an official visit to Ankara tomorrow, Tuesday, at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency, Fahrettin Altun, announced via the X platform that Zelensky will meet Erdogan at the Presidential Complex in Ankara. The discussions will focus on reviewing all aspects of the strategic partnership relations between Ukraine and Turkey, as well as exploring steps to enhance joint cooperation.

The visit will also serve as a platform for exchanging views on the latest developments in Ukraine and other regional and global issues. This comes amid the ongoing military conflict initiated by Russia against Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Russia’s conditions for ceasing its military actions include Ukraine abandoning its aspirations to join Western military entities, a demand Ukraine views as interfering with its sovereignty.
