Several Arrested in Hillah for Human Trafficking and Exploitation of Minors


Hillah: The Organized Crime Directorate in Babylon has taken decisive action against human trafficking, arresting several men and women across different areas of Hillah. The arrests were made on charges of exploiting minors and women for prostitution and human trafficking purposes.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Colonel Yasser Salim Witwit, who leads the Combating Organized Crime in Babylon, stated that intelligence reports had unveiled the activities of a network involved in the exploitation. The network was reportedly engaging in the trafficking of minor girls and women. Acting on this crucial information, authorities conducted raids on three houses, resulting in the arrests of several individuals connected to these crimes. Those apprehended have been handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
