Beirut: The Israeli army has confirmed the bombing of military sites in the Baalbek area and other locations in southern Lebanon. This military action coincided with the funeral of prominent Hezbollah figures, Nasrallah and Safi al-Din.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee stated that the Defense Forces recently targeted military sites containing rockets and combat equipment in these areas, where Hezbollah activities were observed. The strikes were part of a broader operation to neutralize perceived threats emanating from southern Lebanon.

Al-Mayadeen channel reported that two of the Israeli raids specifically targeted the Tebna area, situated between the towns of Al-Bissariya and Taffahta. Additionally, an Israeli airstrike was carried out in Wadi Barghaz, further intensifying the military engagement in the region.

Reports also indicated that Israeli warplanes were flying at a low altitude over the Lebanese capital, Beirut, precisely as the bodies of the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Commander Safi al-Din, were being laid to rest at the Sports City in Beirut. The Lebanese Bint Jbeil website released footage showing four Israeli fighter jets over Beirut, marking a significant display of military capability during a sensitive time.
