Beirut: The Lebanese Parliament voted today to grant confidence to Nawaf Salam’s government by 95 votes, against 12 votes against confidence and 4 abstentions, while the Strong Lebanon bloc withheld confidence from the government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Parliament concluded the session to discuss the government’s ministerial statement, as the number of speaking MPs reached 48 over 18 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, in four consecutive morning and evening sessions.

It continued, “After Prime Minister Nawaf Salam responded to the MPs’ words, a vote was taken to grant confidence to the government by 95 votes, against 12 votes against confidence and 4 abstentions, and the Strong Lebanon bloc withheld confidence from the government.”
