Kirkuk: The representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mohammed Al-Hassan, arrived in Kirkuk on his first visit to the province. He was welcomed at Kirkuk International Airport by Governor Ribwar Taha and his deputy Ibrahim Tamim.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this visit marks Al-Hassan’s initial engagement with the local authorities in Kirkuk since assuming his role. The visit is considered significant as it highlights the ongoing collaborative efforts between the United Nations and Iraqi provincial leaders.
