Baghdad: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid emphasized that Iraq’s new policy is rooted in respecting the sovereignty of states and the choices of peoples, committing to establishing friendly and balanced relations with all while rejecting any interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President made these remarks at the Third Erbil Forum, where he highlighted the ongoing humanitarian crisis faced by the Palestinian people. He noted that the aggression that began in the Gaza Strip has now extended to the West Bank, amidst the silence of many countries around the world, leading to a significant humanitarian disaster.

The President further addressed the sacrifices made by Iraqis in defending their homeland, noting that despite these efforts, terrorism continues to pose a threat to Iraq and its neighboring countries. He expressed concerns over a new plan by terrorist groups aiming to retaliate for their past defeats.

sed hope for a positive change in Syria that aligns with the aspirations of the Syrian people. He stated Iraq’s intention to foster friendly relations with any new governing system in Syria, based on mutual respect, cooperation, and non-interference in internal affairs. He underscored Iraq’s capability to respond to violations of its borders and lands, but emphasized a preference for diplomatic solutions, friendly dialogues, and bilateral understandings.
