Baghdad: The MP of the State of Law Coalition, Thaer Makhif Al-Jubouri, has unveiled critical factors contributing to the disruption of the current activities within the House of Representatives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Jubouri stated that a significant cause of the disruption in the House's recent sessions is the Presidency's failure to include the draft law concerning the retirement of the Popular Mobilization Forces members. The absence of political consensus among the various blocs has stalled progress on this legislation.

Al-Jubouri elaborated that the Coordination Framework, encompassing its various branches, recognizes the sacrifices made by the Popular Mobilization Forces and advocates for fair treatment. As a result, there is a collective decision from the Coordination Framework's blocs and representatives to abstain from attending parliamentary sessions until the draft law is featured on the agenda.

He further emphasized that there are no imminent controversial laws that require political consensus, pointing out that the voting on the budget schedules remains at a standstill due to the ongoing suspension of the House of Representatives' activities.
