Najaf: The Najaf Civil Defense Directorate has successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in the internal market of Najaf, resulting in only material losses.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ali Tawij, the media officer for the Najaf Civil Defense Directorate, confirmed the incident and provided details about the market’s vulnerability. He explained that the internal market comprises numerous unorganized shops, including those selling fruits, vegetables, used materials, and items from street vendors, all of which are susceptible to fires. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and the damage was limited to property.
