Baghdad: The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Qais Khazali, emphasized the urgent need for the enactment of significant laws aimed at enhancing services for citizens and reforming Iraq’s economic landscape.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the National Wisdom Movement released a statement detailing a meeting between al-Hakim and al-Khazali. The two leaders exchanged greetings for the holy month of Ramadan and deliberated on the current political developments within Iraq and across the region.
The statement highlighted al-Hakim’s reiteration of the significance of maintaining the achieved stability on political, security, and social fronts within the country. He also emphasized Iraq’s role on regional and international stages and rejected any divisive rhetoric. Al-Hakim noted that the progress achieved was a result of sacrifices made by all Iraqis and emphasized the importance of unity among different components of the nation.
Furthermore, al-Hakim underscored the role of the Coordination Framework in the political landscape, noting its integral part within the State Administration Coalition. Both leaders agreed on the necessity of passing essential legislation to enhance public services and address economic challenges faced by citizens.
