Al-Bujari Denounces Attack on Her Office in Basra, Urges Government to Act Swiftly

Basra: The head of the Parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee, MP Zahra Al-Bajari, has condemned the recent attack on her office in Al-Zubair district, Basra Governorate. As a representative of the Sadiqoun bloc, Al-Bajari described the attack as a desperate attempt to silence those who are working diligently to serve the Iraqi people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Bajari emphasized that such criminal acts by "groups of evil and outlaws" will not deter her and her colleagues from their mission to combat corruption and defend the rights of the Iraqi people. She urged the government to not be lenient with these criminal acts, which pose a threat to societal peace and target national figures.

Al-Bajari has called on the Iraqi government to fulfill its responsibility in ensuring the safety of Parliament members. She specifically urged the Ministry of Interior and security agencies, including the Basra Police, Intelligence, and National Security Service, to take immediate action. She stressed the importance of arresting those responsible for the attack and conducting a swift investigation using surveillance footage to bring the perpetrators to justice.
