Ramallah: Palestinian Minister of Information and Spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, has reiterated that the two-state solution, aligning with both Arab and international resolutions, remains the cornerstone for ensuring security and stability in the region. This statement comes in response to the G7 Foreign Ministry's recent remarks, underscoring the significance of establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian state, with East Quds as its capital, as a means to achieving lasting peace and security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abu Rudeineh emphasized the immediate need to solidify the ceasefire and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid. He called for the State of Palestine to take full responsibility in the Gaza Strip, coupled with Israel's complete withdrawal, and the implementation of a reconstruction plan that avoids displacing Palestinians from their homeland.

Additionally, he highlighted the necessity of establishing a comprehensive truce in the West Bank, including East Quds, while halting unilateral actions that breach international law. This approach aims to de-escalate tensions, paving the way for the political horizon based on international legitimacy. Abu Rudeineh urged collaboration with the United States, alongside Arab, European, and international partners, to support the efforts of the Arab and Islamic Committee and the global coalition in realizing the two-state solution. He also mentioned the efforts to organize an international peace conference next June in New York, which is anticipated to further the cause of regional security and stability.
