Al-Sudani Highlights Government’s Commitment to Community Representation and Rights

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed the government's commitment to communicating with various communities, protecting their rights, ensuring their representation, and respecting rights and freedoms. During his reception of the Coptic Orthodox Archbishop of Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon, Bishop Antonios, and his accompanying delegation, al-Sudani emphasized the government's pride in the Christian community in Iraq and its efforts to return its citizens to their country and enable them to fulfill their national role alongside other communities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani stated that Iraq has made significant strides in consolidating stability by providing services, improving the standard of living for citizens, and rehabilitating infrastructure in various regions and governorates. He noted the launch of important service projects in the Sinjar and Nineveh Plains regions, serving all members of the Christian community and other communities in those areas.

For their part, the members of the Christian delegation appreciated the Iraqi government's interest, keenness, and communication with all components of the Iraqi people, especially the members of the Christian community, praising the stability achieved by the government through the path of development and construction that serves the interests of all Iraqis.
