Baghdad: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a group of its forces targeted units in the Russian Kursk Oblast, inflicting losses on them. It noted that Ukrainian forces lost more than 200 soldiers on this front within 24 hours.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated in a statement that units from the Russian “North” group attacked units of six Ukrainian brigades in four residential areas in the Oblast: Gogolevka, Gornal, Givo, and Olesnya.

It added that Russian air forces and artillery targeted Ukrainian forces and equipment in areas of the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast, which borders Kursk Oblast.
