Beirut: The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon has increased to seven martyrs, with 40 individuals wounded, following a series of attacks by the Israeli Air Force. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported these figures on Saturday evening, highlighting the severe impact on multiple towns across southern Lebanon.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Health provided a detailed breakdown of the casualties. In Tulin, five martyrs were reported, including a child, and 11 people were wounded, two of whom are children. In Tyre, one martyr was reported, with ten individuals wounded, including a child. In Qleileh, there was one martyr and five wounded, including two children. Additional injuries were reported in Kfar Kila with two wounded, Yahmor al-Shaqif with one wounded, Hosh al-Sayyed Ali with six wounded, and Sareen with four wounded.

The airstrikes occurred despite the existing ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on November 27. The agreement mandated the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese border villages and towns within 60 days. Following the expiration of this deadline, the Lebanese government extended the ceasefire until February 18. While Israeli forces have withdrawn from most areas, five border points remain under their control, leading to ongoing tensions.
