Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, that its forces have taken control of a new town in eastern Ukraine and have eliminated 1,380 Ukrainian soldiers, while its air defenses have downed 224 drones.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated in a statement that its forces have taken control of the town of Srebnye in the Donetsk region. It further explained that Russian forces targeted Ukrainian armed forces formations in 138 areas across the Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, Zaporizhia, and Luhansk regions.

The Ministry pointed out that as a result of these operations, the Ukrainian forces lost dozens of armored vehicles, combat vehicles, field artillery, ammunition depots, reconnaissance stations, and electronic warfare equipment.
