Diyala: The new Diyala Council Chairman, Nizar Allahabad, took the legal oath before the President of the Diyala Court of Appeal, officially assuming the presidency of the Council.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Allahabad has assumed his duties as Chairman of the Diyala Council for the next phase.

A local source informed the National Iraqi News Agency correspondent that the transition in leadership follows the dismissal of the former Chairman, Omar al-Karwi. Al-Karwi was dismissed by the Diyala Provincial Council during an interrogation session held the previous day. In the aftermath, Nizar al-Lahibi was elected as the new Council Chairman, marking a new chapter for the Diyala Council.
