Iraqi Aircraft Conduct Successful Airstrike Against ISIS in Al-Jazeera Operations Sector

Baghdad: Iraqi aircraft have successfully targeted a terrorist detachment in the Al-Jazeera Operations Sector. The Security Media Cell announced this operation, highlighting the efforts of Iraqi security forces in their ongoing battle against remaining ISIS members.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was part of a broader initiative to offer a symbolic gesture of protection and security to the Iraqi people during the approach of Eid al-Fitr. The Security Media Cell’s statement detailed that the Targeting Cell of the Joint Operations Command, in collaboration with the Military Intelligence Directorate, meticulously monitored a significant terrorist hideout in the Anbar desert, specifically within the territory of the 8th Brigade, 7th Division under the Al-Jazeera Operations Command.

The operation involved a carefully executed airstrike by the Air Force Falcons using F-16 aircraft. Initial reports indicate that the strike resulted in the deaths of two ISIS members and caused a series of explosions within the hideout. These explosions led to the destruction of various weapons, ammunition, equipment, and logistical supplies located inside. The statement underscored the relentless pursuit by Iraqi security forces, who remain determined to eliminate ISIS remnants and ensure the safety of Iraq and its citizens.
