Damascus: The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has publicly declared its refusal to recognize or implement decisions made by the newly established Syrian government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Kurdish administration issued a statement criticizing the Damascus government for its resemblance to previous regimes, noting that it fails to acknowledge the diverse and pluralistic nature of Syria and continues to be dominated by a single party.

The statement from the Kurdish Autonomous Administration emphasized that any government failing to reflect the country’s diversity and pluralism will be unable to effectively manage Syria or resolve the ongoing crisis. Instead, it argued, such a government would likely exacerbate existing issues and fail to address the root causes of the conflict. Consequently, the Kurdish leadership has stated that they will not comply with or enforce any decisions issued by the current Syrian government.

Reaffirming its core principles, the Kurdish Autonomous Administration expressed a steadfast commitment to the aspirations that initially fueled the Syrian uprising. These include the establishment of a democratic, participatory, and decentralized Syria, where all citizens have equal rights and opportunities for political participation, without the dominance of any single party or entity over the nation’s governance and administration.
