Shalamcheh: The Border Ports Authority announced today the seizure of more than half a kilogram of crystal in the possession of a foreign female traveler at Shalamcheh border crossing.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority’s spokesman, Alaa al-Din al-Qaisi, stated in a press release that the Shalamcheh Border Port Directorate successfully arrested the traveler, uncovering 505 grams of crystal concealed within her shoe in an unsuccessful smuggling attempt.

The spokesperson further elaborated that the operation was executed in collaboration with the Shalamcheh Customs Police Station. A formal seizure report has been prepared, and both the accused and the confiscated narcotic have been handed over to the Shalamcheh Customs Police Station for appropriate legal proceedings.
