Baghdad: A joint force from the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Army carried out a security operation to search Karma Island, east of Anbar Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Popular Mobilization Forces Authority indicated that the operation involved the 27th Special Tasks Brigade and the Intelligence and Information Support Unit of the Popular Mobilization Forces, working in conjunction with army units.

The coordinated effort included a comprehensive search of the Al-Rafiyat and Al-Khazraj areas and involved combing through large sections of Karma Island.
