Jerusalem: More than five hundred settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound today, Sunday, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, five hundred thirty-two settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Maghraba Gate, conducting tours in its courtyards and performing Talmudic rituals publicly, all under the protection of the occupation police. The report highlighted that the occupation police intensified their military measures at the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque to facilitate the settlers' activities.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) further noted that such incidents have been occurring with increasing frequency. Since the onset of the comprehensive Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in October 2023, over 68,000 settlers have stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque under similar protection from occupation forces.
