Baghdad: The Iraqi Artists Syndicate announced the mourning of the renowned Iraqi artist and director, Professor Hamid Saber, who passed away today.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syndicate expressed its deep sadness and sorrow in a statement regarding the passing of Dr. Hamid Saber due to a terminal illness. The statement read, "We ask God Almighty to have mercy on him and to inspire his family, loved ones, colleagues, and students with patience and solace. To God we belong and to Him we shall return."
The late Hamid Saber was a significant academic figure in Iraq and was considered a pillar in the field of theatrical arts. His scholarly contributions as a researcher in aesthetic thought and a distinguished critic have enriched the artistic community, leaving behind dozens of books and studies that serve as important scholarly references.
