Cairo: Leaders of Egypt, France, and Jordan held a joint phone call with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of a trilateral summit in Cairo, focusing on strategies for an urgent ceasefire in Gaza. The discussions were part of a concerted effort to address the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Egyptian presidency announced that the leaders emphasized the immediate need to resume full access to humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip and to secure the release of hostages and detainees. This conversation highlighted the urgency of creating conditions for a political resolution and mobilizing international efforts for the Palestinian people’s relief.

Egyptian presidential spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy reported that the leaders underscored the necessity of establishing a real political horizon, restoring security, and implementing the two-state solution. The leaders and President Trump agreed to maintain close communication to advance these goals.

Additionally, the call addressed the importance of accelerating peace efforts in Ukraine, aligned with international law, to uphold global security and stability.
