Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of working to reduce tensions and consolidate the foundations of stability and peace in the region. During his reception of the UAE Ambassador to Iraq, Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, at the Baghdad Palace on Tuesday, the President highlighted the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries and the keenness to continue strengthening and developing them in various fields, based on the strong ties between the two brotherly peoples. He reviewed the progress and prosperity witnessed in the paths of joint cooperation and coordination, which meet the aspirations of the two countries and achieve their mutual interests.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President emphasized the importance of working to reduce tensions and consolidate the foundations of stability and peace in the region, in a manner that serves the aspirations of its peoples. Ambassador Al Mazrouei praised the President’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and the UAE, stressing his country’s desire to develop relations and expand horizons of cooperation on issues of common interest.
