Russia Announces Recapture of a Town in Kursk Province


Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Tuesday, that its forces have recaptured a town in the Russian Kursk Province.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated in a statement that units of the Russian Northern Group forces were able to recapture the village of Givo. During their offensive operations, Russian forces targeted mechanized assault brigades, tanks, three airborne brigades, and a territorial defense brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.



The Ministry indicated that the total losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the fighting in the Kursk direction amounted to more than 72,760 soldiers. Additionally, the reported losses included 405 tanks, 331 infantry fighting vehicles, 300 armored personnel carriers, 2,260 armored combat vehicles, 2,644 vehicles, 595 artillery pieces, 53 multiple launch rocket systems, 10 transport and loading vehicles, 123 electronic warfare stations, 18 anti-battery radars, 10 air defense radars, 56 units of engineering and other equipment, 15 armored recovery vehicles, and a command and staff vehicle.



The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously announced last month that its forces had recaptured 29 towns in Kursk Province between March 8 and 14.
