Baghdad: Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah spearheaded the commencement of military operations in northern Rawah at dawn today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Defense detailed that Yarallah supervised the operations aimed at searching the northern Rawah area towards Nineveh Island. These operations are part of the al-Jazeera Operations Sector and involve collaboration between army units, special forces, and various branches of military support.

Key elements of the operation include assistance from army aviation, air force aircraft, and reconnaissance efforts conducted by the Military Intelligence Directorate. Additionally, engineering units from the Military Engineering Directorate are actively participating to bolster the operations, ensuring comprehensive coverage and support for the mission objectives.
