The Council of National Security Agents Holds Fourth 2025 Session Focused on Strategic Memorandums


Baghdad: The Council of National Security Agents convened for its fourth session of 2025, under the leadership of National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji, with all Council members in attendance.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council released a statement detailing the discussions and decisions made during the session. Key topics included the Security Intelligence Center in the Reform Departments, which was a significant point of discussion. The Council also reviewed a draft memorandum of understanding between the National Security Advisory and its Iranian counterpart, aiming to enhance collaboration between the two nations.



Additionally, the session covered a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Iraq and the Ministry of Finance of the Sultanate of Oman. This agreement is expected to bolster financial cooperation between the two countries. Another critical memorandum discussed was for strategic cooperation between the Military Industrialization Authority and its Pakistani counterpart, focusing on the localization of defense industries, which signifies a step forward in strengthening defense capabilities and cooperation.
