Baghdad: The spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, St©phane Dujarric, announced that approximately 400,000 Palestinians have been displaced in the Gaza Strip since Israel resumed military operations on March 18.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dujarric said in a statement: “In Gaza, survivors have been repeatedly displaced and forced to move into an ever-shrinking area where their basic needs cannot be met.”
It is noteworthy that the Israeli forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 50,752 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 115,475 others, according to a preliminary toll. Rescue and ambulance crews are still unable to reach a large number of victims trapped under the rubble and in the streets.
