Istanbul: US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce announced that the Russian and American delegations will meet in Istanbul on April 10 to discuss only the work of embassies, stressing that the talks will not address the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine or security issues.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a press conference, Bruce stated that the American and Russian delegations will meet for the second time in Istanbul to seek progress in enhancing the stability of the work of diplomatic missions. She emphasized that there will be no political or security issues on the agenda, and Ukraine is not on the agenda at all.
Bruce further clarified that the talks will focus exclusively on the work of the embassies, not on the normalization of bilateral relations in general. She reiterated that any normalization can only happen when there is peace between Russia and Ukraine.
