Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed that the Foreign Minister will head to Oman on Saturday for indirect talks with the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian President emphasized that Iran does not seek to possess nuclear weapons and has often been a victim of terrorism, despite accusations of engaging in such practices. He stated that Iran does not intend to initiate war or aggression against any country but is prepared to respond with force to any attacks.

President Pezeshkian further explained that intensified threats and attacks only strengthen Iran’s resolve to defend itself. He asserted that Iran does not fear threats and will protect its sovereignty vigorously, ensuring that it does not become subjugated by foreign powers.

The President reiterated Iran’s desire for peace and called for the lifting of sanctions, expressing confidence in resolving issues through dialogue. He announced the Foreign Minister’s upcoming visit to Oman for indirect discussions with the U.S., highlighting that the Supreme Leader permits only indirect negotiations due to a lack of trust in the United States.
