Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein has underscored the importance of bolstering economic cooperation between Iraq and the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hussein participated in an interactive dialogue session organized by the Iraqi-American Business Council in Baghdad. During the session, he highlighted the robust trade relations between the two nations and emphasized the need to further enhance economic collaboration.

Hussein acknowledged the vital role of the Iraqi-American Business Council and the institutional ties with the American Chamber of Commerce. He also noted the key challenges in developing trade relations, particularly concerning Iraq’s investment infrastructure.

The minister engaged with the session’s attendees, addressing challenges faced by investors, especially those from the United States. He emphasized the importance of joint efforts to overcome these obstacles and suggested leveraging the support of Iraqi diplomatic missions abroad to facilitate investment and address challenges impeding progress.
