Baghdad: The Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) has successfully apprehended a hacker responsible for leaking approximately 1,500 gigabytes of sensitive data. This data breach targeted several private companies and included personal information of citizens, such as names, addresses, and phone numbers, which were subsequently sold to unknown parties multiple times.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest was part of an ongoing effort by the INSS to combat cybercrime. The operation was described as qualitative, indicating a high level of strategic planning and execution. The agency emphasized the severity of the crime, noting it as a direct threat to citizens’ privacy and information security.
