Washington: The White House Spokeswoman Carolyn Levitt confirmed that the visit of Steven Witkoff, the US special envoy, to Russia represents another step toward a ceasefire in Ukraine and ultimately reaching a peace agreement. She emphasized the significance of Witkoff’s direct contacts with the Russian presidency in progressing the negotiations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Levitt stated in a press briefing that Witkoff’s visit is a crucial part of the ongoing process aimed at negotiating a ceasefire and achieving a final peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
